We're all just doing it for the 'gram right? But that cute wild cat you're cuddling up to for a "once in a lifetime" experience and a few likes has faced a lifetime of abuse.
Starting with early removal from their mothers, tigers are forced into unnatural interactions with humans, are subject to strict and abusive training regimes and often kept in small, concrete cages bearing no resemblance to their natural habitat and causing further stress in an already horrific life. Babies who are removed from their mothers are typically bottle fed and become nothing more than a tourist attraction, and mothers are continually bred to keep up with this demand for cute cubs. On top of this, adult tigers in particular are often sedated to allow for human interaction without the risk of the tigers natural instincts kicking in.
If the animal has to be sedated to safely endure human interaction, shouldn't that be a huge sign that this practice in incredibly unethical and straight out wrong?
