A big thank you to Arizona Highways Magazine for featuring my Watson Lake photograph in their July 2018 issue! After having my first photograph published in the magazine in 2006—and many since—I gotta tell you, it never gets old. It’s always an honor and a thrill!
And perfect timing too, as I just released the beginnings of my 2019 workshop schedule, which includes a Sheography workshop at Watson Lake on January 25-27, 2019. Just two spaces left! Who’d like to see this spectacular wonderland of jumbo rocks through their own lens? It's a beautiful landscape...
To learn more and to register, visit . To see the rest of the workshop FUN I have planned for the rest of 2018 and the first half of 2019, check out my workshop schedule at (live link in my bio). Filling up fast! Come join me on a future photography adventure!
It was just after 5am when the sun peeked over the mountains in the east, warming up the rental car that doubled as our home. I shifted achingly from the right side to the left side of my body, trying to balance out the pain in my hips. @howsheviewsit and I were parked on deserted National Forest land outside of Sedona, and our dust-ridden Sante Fe Hyundai was perfect for taking on the backroads, but not for my 5’10” frame.
This was my first real experience in the desert, and I instantly understood what draws so many to this part of the country. Who wouldn’t fall in love with rust-stained rocks that protrude towards a powdery blue sky and miles of sage-scented trails?
We spent 4 days roaming and I’m stoked to share a few of my favorite things to see and do on the @huckberry blog. Head to the link in my profile to give it a read. 🌵 #visitsedona#sheexplores
