Two years ago I visited this place for the first time. We hiked just shy of 100km over two and a half days almost entirely in the pouring rain. The summit of Mount Robson never revealed its self but for the first time in my life I came face to face with a glacier, I ran my hands along its surface and knew instantly that these beautiful rivers of ice would be one of my greatest loves. When @wilderness_addict approached me a few months ago with an extra spot on her permit to come back I jumped at the opportunity(transferring her the permitting fee before our conversation ended). This time I took things a little slower, we covered the same distance with an extra day and much better weather. The word of the trip was ‘meander’ and that is what we did - we made our way everywhere we needed to be taking every winding detour possible.
Leave it to Canada to still have snow in the summer ☃️😎. I just posted a story of me eating the snow mwahaha😛
#MariTip 33: It's okay to eat the snow in Canada!!! 🇨🇦 I grew up always eating snow and then I went to New York a couple years ago and ate the snow and it tasted sooo bad 🤮. I just thought snow everywhere tasted the same. But nooooo! Don't eat NY snow.. eat Canada snow, it's damn good, trust me. But only eat the clean areas (I hope that goes without saying...) and if you wanna be extra fun, put a bunch of snow in a bowl, and pour chocolate syrup in it... or.... food coloring to make a snow cone OR... your favorite flavor of pop to make a slurpieeeee!🥤
I was absolutely thrilled to get a decent photo of a Steller’s Jay yesterday. This has been 8 months in the making!! Although they’re relatively common, I’ve found them very skittish. The moment they see you they head up high in the trees and hide behind branches, all the while squawking at you. I know in some areas they are more tame, but this hasn’t been my experience. This one was actually on the ground and when it saw me it flushed up to eye level for just enough time to get a photo before heading up to the treetops. 💙💙💙
Dominique Adrian - France? Montreal? idfk; 100% Colombard grape // grapefruit notes with a bitter after taste and a slightly acidic finish // probably should have saved it for the evening, but also good after a quick dip on the Sunshine Coast #pnw#explorebc 🙋🏽♀️
Hi I'm Ju, and mountains make me happy! 😁👋 Thanks @vlouisethompson for this candid photo. I don't think I've ever looked so happy in a photo before. But why should I be?! Mountains rock! #agoodplacetobe
Just do the thing! You won't be great at it, but every step will be a great accomplishment.

I don’t want to say goodbye to this week as my holidays were amazing. Unplugged and submitting peaks was what I was meant to do 🙌
With a fridge full of meal prepped food and my alarm set for 4:45am I am ready to get back into my routine!
Anyone else making a clean start on Monday?! Let’s do this!
Our last #TheRealStoke Ambassador takeover for this time is from @caseybrowntown: “Canoeing across an alpine lake in the Gold range, while my dog Snuff is scouting for Rainbow trout. Summer activities are endless here.”
