The coatimundi. A loner. A vagabond. He's the lone coati...that's what it means. Apparently biologists in the past thought the solitary males a different species? Either way, the male white-nosed coati is indeed a nomad vagabond. He'll latch onto a group (females and young males)and defend it during breeding season, and then fade into the southwestern wild. Or the jungles to the south. Another one of those creatures whose northern range is Arizona. What a super bioregion.
