Friends! I just wanted to reintroduce ourselves because we haven’t in awhile & we now have a bunch of new followers that probably have no idea who is behind these little squares 🙃
We are Mackenzie & Trevor 👋🏼 We live in Huntington Beach, CA where all your items are handcrafted. We’ve been together for about 3.5 years now and live in an apartment with 2 other roommates. We have a 6 year old French Bulldog named King & a 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog named Scout aka Psycho.
We started RxT about a year and a half ago when I (this is Mac talking btw 😂) asked Trevor to make me some triangle shelves for my room and soon after all of my friends were asking him to make triangles for their houses.. so I thought we should probably make a business out of this! 🤔 Believe it or not I was actually making jewelry at the time which is where our name came from. I was wire wrapping tumbled stones and rough crystals (get it? 😉) and making necklaces out of them. My jewelry making phase kinda fizzled out and I started making macrame instead (best decision). It didn’t seem right to be selling jewelry and wood shelves. It all came together and here we are now! I never ever thought we would be where we are today and can’t thank anyone but YOU guys. So so thankful! 🧡
K thanks for reading, love you mean it.

Happy Wednesday! I don't know about you, but I am definitely enjoying the lower temperatures and humidity levels today. This summer sure has been a warm one! Here is an image of a current project on my table this Work in Progress Wednesday. I hope everyone is having a great day!
I’ve been in a serious funk for awhile, so I’ve been reading self-help books and listening to podcasts trying to find a solution. And I think that’s a big part of the problem. Most of us think that if we just had this or that, we would be happy. And the one thing that did resonate with me is that it’s a happy life that brings you “fortune”, not the other way around. This is most clear when I get to stay at the Beach Lodge. Putting the “hussle” on hold and just sitting here, doing nothing but reading magazines makes me feel like I’ve got everything I need. And that feeling of happiness gives me the reboot to handle my business. So moral of the story is stop overthinking and instead, just slow down. You’ll be amazed at how clearer it is to find “the answer” to your problems. ☺️✌🏽

Two of the most beautiful and versatile rugs I’ve ever found are hanging out at the shop, waiting for the right people to take them home. Tap on the image to get a better look at these vintage Moroccans.
Our Boho great room is the perfect backdrop for a fun gathering with friends. The talented folks at @lootvintage hosted an intimate dinner here last summer and we're still reminiscing about the delicious food from @laperaaustin and music by @fosteratx and @thecanvaspeople. Get in touch with us if you're looking to throw a party (and call our friends at @lootvintage to ensure your soiree looks the part)! 👌⠀
Have I ever told the story of the snake plants I have all over my house? You guys, these things are freakin survivors! They’re over 30 years old. My parents got 2 snake plants when they got married, and over the years, the plants have been divided and split so many times. Last time I counted there were over 25 of these descendants between my mother’s house and mine.
They’re pretty much invincible. They’ve survived many moves, they’ve almost been murdered by me multiple times as I clumsily learned how to care for them, they’ve been attacked by cats, and they’ve been stuck in dark rooms for far too long.
Throughout all the trial and error, they’ve been a part of my entire life. They were there the day I was born and came home from the hospital. They were there as I grew through childhood. They were there through my first marriage and divorce. They were there when I brought Noah home for the first time. They’ve seen me laugh and cry and celebrate and mourn. And now they’re about to start their new life in our forever home. I can’t wait to show them their new house. These guys are going to love it just as much as I love them.
Moral of the story: Snake Plants are vampires. The end. 🤣 (You know me, I’ve gotta ruin the mushy moment somehow, right?)
Polished by the salty tide and bleached in the sun... precious gifts from the ocean, forever reminding me of warmer days and far away places... PS I woke up with some sore gums and a big metal set of BRACES on my grill this morning, so begins my journey to straight teeth. Pretty excited! Xx
Time to add piles to piles - India container today - making room to slide in big pieces under the mountain of Moroccan goods. We love the store like this! This is when it really shines - interesting things in every nook and cranny. Our giant scale marble top bars are back! This warm toned beauty looks perfect with a cluster of Berber pots - desert chic indeed! #tierradellagarto#interiordesign#berberpots#kitchenisland
