What an awesome weekend of paddling the downtown Portland scene via the Willamette River! Tougher paddle than we expected! The constant boat wakes, natural current of the river, and high winds made for an unexpected but welcomed killer workout! I haven't been sore from a paddle in a long time! If you're still on the fence about stand up paddle boarding, I encourage you to give it a try. It's soooo much fun! SUP can be whatever you need it to be. SUP can be a killer workout and build obliques like nothing else, or it can be a casual paddle across calm still waters of a mountain lake. You can see into the water so much further than when sitting in a boat, it's amazing! You can sit, stand, lay down, take a nap, break a sweat, whatever your paddlin' lil heart desires. If you're looking for a place to try stand up paddle boarding for the 1st time and you happen to live in the Pacific NW, hit us up! If you don't live in the Pacific NW but you have some questions about paddle boarding technique or which SUP board is right for you, hit us up! Sure, we host paddle fit classes and retail high quality Red Paddle Co iSUP's, but our main goal from Day 1 has been to encourage as many people as possible to get out on the water standing up!
We want to share our love of stand up paddle boarding with anyone who's willing to give it a chance. SUP has been one of those rare "game changers" for our lives. It made fitness & fun come together and helped make our dream of a fun fit lifestyle a reality.

PIF Ambassador Success Story~~ @krlepley was PIF certified in 2018 and is experiencing an awesome start in running her own SUP classes. Here is her SUP fitness class group, and their smiles say it all! Kelly's class is called SUP fitness interval sculpt.
