Soft evening light falling on sea stacks of the southern Oregon coast. The western coast is one place I would really like to spend more time, driving up from Big Sur to the PNW or even heading down below California. The combination of cliffs and sea stacks combined with the best sunset light you could ask for is something that will draw you back every time.
Lack of posting the past couple days because Basecampers @oliver_ambros and @evanruderman have been reunited after many months of traveling. Today they’re enjoying the local break at Old Man’s and catching up - more to come soon 📸: @austin.kjones

Can’t get enough of this place. Turquoise swimming holes around every bend.
#MH_STORYTELLERTIP / THE MINDSET YOU NEED TO SUCCEED ↓
After so many creative ruts and other challenges, I always ask myself why I do what I do.
I am a storyteller.
Constantly learning how to document and share narratives efficiently as photographer, filmmaker, and writer.
It isn’t always easy to execute the ideas I have.
There are many challenges creators face everyday, that they must overcome to be in the healthy frame of mind to create share the work they do with you.
Often via social media.
Keep in mind that most of us share our highlights, and we persevere through many of the issues that you may have too.
It isn’t as easy as it often looks.
So ask yourself these questions right now.
Do you love what you do?
What motivates you to do you do it everyday?
I still remember shooting videos with the webcam on my netbook in high school.
I was so excited to do my video edits on windows movie maker after school, to share to my 50 Facebook friends.
Some of who laughed at my newbie skills.
There words meant very little to me, because I knew I would eventually get better.
I wasn’t focused on any monetary gain, and that is where my genuine passion to create began.
When I realized the potentials of social media 3 years ago, I doubled down on my efforts to perfect my skills.
Social Media has offered manny the chance to make a living to doing what you love.
However the fact that I naturally fell in love with the process years ago, has kept me focused during the ruts and tough times.
You have to be in it for to long haul to survive the bumps along the way.
Our journeys may not pan out the same way, but I wanted to let you know that we all have ups and downs.
Stay focused, do it because you love it, and #BeAlpha.
Old crappy iPhone shot, but I was flipping through my photos and found this one. Cannon Beach is unquestionably one of my favorite places in the PNW, especially to unwind during the off-season months. It helps that the town is insanely dog-friendly as well. 😍
Camping and looking at the stars at night is truly one of my favorite things to do. Here is a shot from when a good friend of mine and I camped above Preikestolen. Used a flashlight to light it up. @email@example.com
I was in Laguna the other day photographing the swell thinking to myself how crazy it was that there were waves that big at Victoria Beach. It got me thinking that it will become more and more common. Climate change is leading to stronger, more frequent storms, which will cause bigger and more frequent swells. Paired with the rapid rate that the sea is rising, this will make many coastal communities uninhabitable. This has been one of the hotter summers that I remember here in Southern California. I can only hope that the abnormalities in weather will bring a lot of rain this winter to help with the drought. I’d love to hear all of your comments and questions on climate change. You can DM me or comment on this post! Lets start a discussion 🤙🏽

Diving into the week with #roam247 submissions — and we love this rad clip from @es_dons of @faayeded nailing this jump! “Got really close to @faayeded on this one... Trying not to kill my friends but also trying to kill the shot,” he says. Killed it!⠀

There is a special time during the long summer nights that the sun rises between the two sea stacks Risin & Kellingin. It is a truly magical moment when the clouds allow the sun to work it’s magic!
