Our morning ☕️ ritual is one of my favorite parts of #vanlife. The truth is that you never get to sleep and just wake up to a view like this. But you can almost always take a quick drive in the morning and find an epic spot for coffee and puppy snuggles.
Spent the morning splitting rocks in the 52 million year old green river formation near Kemmerer, WY. Most fun you can have with a hammer! Fish species found mostly diplomystus. #fossilfish#ontheroad#fossilhunter
Our #buslifereality from my other account.
What #buslife really looks like more often than not. The "office" which by night usually becomes the dog's bed area, the desk which becomes the dining table .... it can be a bit cramped but as we go we tweak and improve it. On the upside, it's pretty handy to be able to reach the fridge and the kitchen bench from your desk!
Little Miss Stoney found a new spot that she loves hanging out in 😸
It’s above the cab in the cab-over part of our RV 🚐
For a while we were wondering how she was getting up there because she would be up there after we had left and came back home.
But we finally saw her actually get up there when we were home.
She loves it up there...it’s like her own little area to feel safe and relaxed 👍🏻

PRIVACY/SAFETY doesn’t come cheap, but it’s worth it for a van newbie me, even if it means not eating a single meal out for 10 months to pay for these window covers. (I’m so terrible at sewing). Also, I look at this van as a place I could easily wind up living for many, many years, so it’s like buying anything pricey but well-made: it’s cheaper over time than replacing it b/c it falls apart.
(I found that to be the case for w/ my vacuum). For my maiden solo trip in the van, I’ll be flying up to Idaho in a few weeks to drive it to Portland and eventually down here to the Bay Area. I am buying these great window covers, made in Santa Cruz by entrepreneur and master tailor Garrett at STRAWFOOT. He uses them himself in his #FordTransit; they were also recommended by a van dweller at #TinyFest. He also makes them for #sprinter vans. They fold up small for easy storage. I’m a night owl, so I need something fierce to block my lighting. The insulated covers will also keep it warmer in winter, cooler in the summer. #vanlifeideas#vanlifediaries#vanlife#rv#rvlife
Not a terrible spot to break down I guess. We definitely had a weird Friday the 13th. Around a corner in some nasty washboard our rear shock popped off, we lost a bolt who knows where. To top it off it was 8pm in the middle of nowhere Idaho and of course no cell service. A nice family stopped to make sure all was good - lucky for us he happened to be sherrif of Camas County who was out camping. He was able to get a deputy over with some bolts from the shop to help us out, which none fit of course. By this time it was 11:30 we were exhausted, hungry, and needed a couple beers asap, so we spent the night here. In the morning we decided to pump up the airbags and limp onward since our friends were camping about 20 miles ahead. Always an adventure in Betty!!
We are having a blast in our Sprinter Van exploring! We camped at #PedernalesFalls State Park and woke up before the sun to hike about 7 miles and swim in the clear, turquoise waters! The Water was low so the falls weren’t flowing but we already can’t wait to come back. Texas has some amazing state parks and I have the best adventure cowboy!! #RVLife
Definitely the most used space in our camper!
The other day my husband and I were talking about how it is so interesting how life works! When we decided to sell our home and buy property, it really came out of no where! I just remember one day thinking we need some property, a place where our kids can run and play and have a more “old school” childhood. I talked to Josh about it and he was not on board. But I just kept having that same thought! So we went and looked at some properties and we found the piece we own and fell in love! He was 💯 on board!
We put our house on the market, all of this happened in less than 3 weeks! It took us a while to find the right buyer for our home but it worked out!
It is a great reminder to me that our Father in Heaven has a much grander plan for us! Not to say that it has been easy but I know that it has been exactly what we needed. This whole living in a trailer together has been so good for our family on so many different levels. And hopefully our end result will be us living in a home we all built and sacrificed together for.
Also, if your still reading😂! Thank you for following along on our little journey! This little space has been so fun for me and so inspiring and encouraging! You all are so sweet and kind! THANK YOU😘😘😘

Post clean up, pre bedding. If you want a stall floor so clean a horse can eat off of it, hire a Virgo.
