She made me a small farmhouse table when we were first dating and I was moving into my first tiny studio apartment. In time, it became my workspace for printmaking as well. I loved that damn table, permanent ink smears and all. Lucky for me, we’ve managed to cut it down and fit it into this pop-up workspace for printmaking. You can still see some ink smears👀.

Amanda found some giant coffee bean bags on a trip to Chicago last year. We thought they were neat, but had no idea what to do with them. When downsizing to move into the trailer, they risked being left in the “ditch” pile. Instead, I dug them out, repurposed them as throw pillows, and gave them to Amanda for her birthday this year. They now keep this space cozy.☕️

  • As a physician assistant at Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Urgent Care in #ColoradoSprings, Summer understands the importance of specialized pediatric care, close to home. She jumps in the Courage Classic saddle year after year for local kids like Noah Devolve, who was born with a congenital #HeartDefect and had open-heart surgery at Children's Colorado when he was just 18 days old. Now 17, Noah volunteers at the Memorial Central Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and aspires to be an orthopedic surgeon at Children’s Colorado one day. Summer pedals for Noah and the dreams of thousands of kids in southern Colorado who deserve a future full of possibility. * Give a shout out to Summer and her team, Courage from the Springs, in the comments below. * #CourageClassicCO #StoriesFromTheRoad

  • In 2008, 16-year-old Christiana was, as she puts it, “broken.” She was struggling with #MentalHealth challenges and admitted to Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Pediatric Mental Health Institute. There, she discovered the healing power of the arts through the Ponzio Creative Arts Therapy Program. Drawing with the program empowered her to deal with her mental illness – and inspired her to become an artist. While in therapy, Christiana designed the first patient-created Ponzio Pedalers team jersey in 2009. Now, nine years later and 26 years old, Christiana works at the company that made those jerseys and is cycling on the Ponzio Pedalers team to give back. * Let Christiana know how inspiring her story is to you by sharing a comment below to lift her up as she cycles next weekend. * #CourageClassicCO #StoriesFromTheRoad #PMHI

  • JB was born with a condition called #phenylketonuria (PKU), which means he cannot metabolize protein properly. As a child, this meant countless hours at #ChildrensHospitalColorado with visits to doctors and nutritionists to help him manage his condition. Today, JB rides on the #GeneTeam in the Courage Classic Bicycle Tour to give back for the care he has received throughout his life. The Gene Team raises money for research that helps identify treatments for certain disorders before they have life altering effects. “Hopefully the funds I raise can help other kids with PKU or other metabolic diseases enjoy the amazing treatment and opportunities that I was able to have.” #CourageClassicCO #StoriesFromTheRoad

  • I met a cool German guy cycling to Japan but he’s going the Iran route. We treated ourselves to a hotel as with two people it’s dirt cheap. You know your far from home when you see a sign for Iran... plus I saw my first bear sign! We bought some water and chocolate from a shop and the owner invited us to tea and a chat very nice guys. I’ve got a big 75 miler today which isn’t good as I’ve got some sort of stomach bug, have waves of pain and nausea, hopefully it’ll get better soon. • 2 years ago we were part of Big Lick Music Conference, where we played at Awful Arthur's Downtown in Roanoke Va. That night we were lucky enough to meet/share the stage w/ @midnightmob101 whom we’d became friends w/ moving forward. At that time the vent on our trailers roof was busted and we had a “band-aid”/contraption up there to TRY to keep our gear dry. Chris their drummer at the time had won this bear (whom we affectionately named Midnight Bear) out of a claw machine and gave it to us to stick on the bolt hanging down on our temp. vent fix to help cushion the blow every time we smashed our heads on it! Lol. Shortly after, we fixed the vent. Midnight Bear then just hung out in the box that held our banner and all the pieces for the stand. This week we got the trailer cleaned out and scrapped the banner box, so... Midnight Bear got a new spot to hang out. The Chronicles of Midnight Bear continue! Hahah. ————————————————————————————— #band #family #bandlife #midnightbear #storiesfromtheroad #trailerproblems #rocknroll #headbang #scalpsaver

  • I'd heard stories about seasoned session musicians before... . How they possess superhuman musical abilties. . How they can walk into a studio or onto a stage at a moments notice, then blitz it and lay waste to the original bandmembers. . But I hadn't ever met any before...until tonight at an intimate event featuring songs and stories from @pink's touring band. . Stories like how @evagardner (bass guitarist) got the job with Pink. . How @therealjustinderrico (lead guitarist) had to learn 200 songs in 2 weeks for The Voice. . How Jason Chapman (keys) never had piano lessons and can't read sheet music yet plays professionally. . How @theadrianabalic (backing VOX) flipped between music, teaching and motherhood. . And how @markyplanet (drummer) nails his performances with droplets of wisdom from Billy Idol. . The music was top notch and I learnt a lot just from watching them play, however what stood out to me was how humble they all were. . Getting up onstage, having a good time and killin it for the audience is just what they do. . Came away with a lot of inspiration, some top selfies, and even a signed drum stick - thanks guys and all the best on tour! ☺ . #selfie #storiesfromtheroad #drumstick #inspiration #wisdomoftheday

  • Biiiiig things on the horizon! 😍 ⠀ ⠀ It’s crazy to look back at this past year of marriage + RV life so far. To say it’s been a life changing experience is an understatement. ⠀ ⠀ These past few weeks we’ve been planning out our travel + biz plans for the rest of the year, and let’s just say - we’re a teeeeeeeeeny bit (read: SUPER) excited for what’s to come!⠀ ⠀ And through it all, we can’t wait to see how God continues to lead us, challenge us, love us, and push us out of our comfort zones - and draw us closer to Him 🙏🏽

  • Got some serious quality time with @wb56 this weekend and if we could sum it up in two words we’d say it was: PURE JOY!⠀ ⠀ We got to see lots of the iconic spots in Banff, swim in some freeeeeeeezing cold water, hike up Lady MacDonald, fix a flat tire, have bible study around a campfire, dodge hailstorms and goof off in Canmore!⠀ ⠀ And all we can say is that we’re filled with so much gratitude to have a friend like Billy who made time to just come out and be with us 🙏🏽⠀ ⠀ Banff, it’s been a wild ride. Next stop: Calgary Stampede!

  • What a day. Climbed up two 2000m passes and enjoyed a 30 mile down hill. In the morning I met @journeyyuto a Japanese guy cycling from Japan to Portugal, nutter! Then later that day I met a man walking, yes walking from Sweden to Iran to protest the Islamic Republic Government after they imprisoned him for speaking out against them. Sadly I didn’t get to watch the football, the literal mountains in my way took to much time to climb, but I rang @indiamillustrates and she put the phone up against the TV and I listened instead - for the entire duration of the game I was going downhill, how crazy is that! • I met Cristian my Romanian pal (bottom left) in Germany, he said when I hit Bucharest to give him a message and he could help with things to do. So I did and he gave us so many cool hints and tips about the city, so kind, he even invited me and India out for drinks + pizza at a sweet bike orientated bar. Cristian built me a route through Romania and told me where I could sleep for the night. Without people like Cristian this trip would be difficult and boring, thank you for everything you did for me, I am eternally grateful! • Just want to say thank you to everyone for supporting me yesterday, feeling the love! Smashed out 72 miles yesterday which I’m happy with considering the headwind all day. 9 hours in the saddle haha. As I was refuelling at a petrol station this nice guy gave me a lucky charm for the road. I met my first Turkish fully loaded tourer too, he asked if I needed any water or food what a gent! Got a shorter day of 45 miles today and my legs are feeling strong. I’m cycling in support of CALM (Campaign, Against, Living, Miserably) To donate to CALM visit my website www.wisemanstour.com

  • Raid #9 - Tolmezzo to Trieste. Being the last day of our raid, mostly a descent for 134km, I gave it my all and tried to empty the tank. The day was hot but it don’t matter. Beautiful skies and spirits high, we hammered the entire route with a final avg speed of 31.7. There were a few climbs but combined together it was only 624m. We reached the finish line at the beach in Trieste! Greeted with fruits and champagne and surrounded by sunbathers, our bikes were repacked. In nine days, I climbed 40 Cols in three countries, with a combined gain of 21,656 meters and 1215 km. The riding was truly spectacular and a humbling experience. I would do it all over again, if not for the pasta then at least for the wine.
