“A prayer: may my suffering be of service.” ❤️🙏🏾 @desiremap
I always aspire to share about the good and bad days because I hope my suffering will be of service to others. I hope someone reading what I say can find some sliver of hope or comfort. I hope people can learn from what I have done to alleviate some of my suffering to help them alleviate some of theirs as well. I aspire to help others. In high school this was the opposite of what I wanted. When I started university you could always find me towards the back of the lecture hall, ready to bolt at any moment. I did not want to help others because I could barely help myself.
When I started studying psychology at the end of my second year away at school, I started helping myself. At the beginning of my third year I was taking second year classes and learning strategies that will help me for my entire lifetime. I started practicing yoga and the practice of being non-judgmental. I am still letting go of new and old judgments everyday. I started to help myself and started aspiring to help others. So, I started posting on social media (mainly instagram) about my battles with depression and anxiety. It’s no easy road to feel alone and lost in your own body. Some days those feelings come back to me if I don’t take care of myself. It’s true what they say about helping yourself first, otherwise there’s no cup to pour from to help others. 🍵 I’ve fallen off with some good habits in the past week and am picking myself back up this week. I am being patient with myself and reminding myself that it’s okay to not feel okay all the time. It’s okay to have a bad Monday and not feel motivated to start your week off strong ❤️ I am doing this with myself this week and ask that you try it too: breathe in to feel everything, and on every exhale let go of some guilt that you put on yourself. We ask so much of ourselves.. more than we would of others. Today: just breathe and let that go 🙏🏾✨
SUP YOGA☀ 🏄 (neuer Blog Post)
Auf der Suche nach neuen sportlichen Herausforderungen kam ich vor 2 Jahren zum #SUPYoga. Heute kann ich mir meine sommerliche #Yogapraxis nicht mehr ohne das SUP Board vorstellen! Übrigens habe ich keine "SUP-Yoga-Ausbildung" gemacht, sondern mich heran getastet und einfach ausprobiert, was funktioniert. Hättet ihr z.B. gedacht, dass eine Krähe (Armbalance) wesentlich leichter als der Baum (einbeinige Balance) ist? Aber was ist an SUP Yoga eigentlich so anders, außer dass man ein die Matte gegen ein Board tauscht ;)? Meine Gedanken darüber gibt's seit heute auf meinem Blog (Link in Bio)😊! Wer hat SUP oder SUP Yoga schon mal versucht? Und was waren Eure Erfahrungen? #sup#supyoga
I taught one of the best classes this week. And by best I mean, I felt like I had done my service successfully, fully. I felt like I had done savasana with my class when it was over. I felt high and like I couldn’t get enough. I forgot how special yoga is to me. I forgot how much potential it has to help others and encourage people to remember their worth. .
I can’t believe I forgot. But then again, I probably will again. Unfortunately. It’s reality. It’s hard to ALWAYS remember and ALWAYS prioritize the things we want to do for ourselves. What about food. And making money to buy food. That’s important to. But until I forget again, I’m going to hold on to that feeling tightly. I’m going to try to remember that feeling of “I am capable” and “you are worth it” for as long as I can. Then do it all over again and again. .

Sometimes we take for granted certain things like the pose warrior II, but when you simply change one aspect of it it becomes a whole knew challenge... like doing the pose on a board on water! ;) what have you been taking for granted? Just got back to the #Beaches from a magical weekend in #Montreal Canada with incredible people. Reminds me how connected I am with what I love, who I love & how supported I am by the Universal energy because I invite it in & have extreme faith. I just have to do what I love, the right people are there. .
No one can take anything away from me. I always win when I can play with the Universe at my side. ✌🏽💘✊🏼🤟🏽
when you are in flow you’ll know, magnified, life-giving experiences fly into your orbit without you even trying. These experience will wake your soul up, like you just wanna dance & laugh. I danced and laughed so much this weekend. I even cried with joy.
You’ll also know when you’re out of alignment and need to change it up because it’ll feel like you’re struggling (learning) to move down a path. I’m always listening to these lessons & im always aware of the gifts that are given. I was in awe of this weekend! It fed my soul with a sense of nourishment I needed badly. A remembrance back to who I am & what I have to offer when I am willing to receive fully. MTL has a very special place in my heart. .
When I lived there, the city opened up a new perspective in my world. It showed me I could see the world differently and meet people that would change my life, live in a way I never had before. That I had options. Montreal gave me my independence and made me want to be a risk taker. It also taught me that I love living a life that is not to impress, but to inspire myself. That life is like creating a work of art. An unconventional lifestyle, that it’s ok to be the opposite of what people want me to be. This city changed my life forever and continues to inspire me.
