Loving some toast!
White beans & tomatoes on toast = life. Topped with fresh basil.
Let’s talk bread: I get a lot of questions about if bread is vegan and what bread I buy. I like to buy fresh bakery bread. Not only does it contain WAY less ingredients than packaged bread in the bread aisle, but it’s way easier to tell when it’s vegan or not. I usually buy whole wheat or sourdough. If I can find it then a combination of the two 😂 - and when I mean bakery bread, I mean in the fresh bread section of grocery store. It tastes so much better and it’s better for you.
I hope you guys all have a lovely day!
Hey IKEA I’m coming to you this weekend! 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽

ANIMAL AGRICULTURE 👉🏽 KILLING THE CLIMATE & THE PLANET
Livestock and their byproducts account for at least 32,000 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year, or 51% of all worldwide greenhouse gas emissions.
Agriculture is responsible for 80-90% of US water consumption. Throughout the world, humans dritnk 5.2 billion gallons of water and eat 21 billion pounds of food each day. Worldwide, cows drink 45 billion gallons of water and eat 135 billion pounds of food each day. Hence the cows consume 6-9 times more than humans. Also, did you know that 2,500 gallons of water are needed to produce 1 pound of beef.
Animal agriculture is responsible for up to 91% of Amazon destruction and 1-2 acres of rainforest are cleared every second. The leading causes of rainforest destruction are livestock and feedcrops. Animal agriculture is also the leading cause of species extinction, ocean dead zones, water pollution, and habitat destruction. Livestock operations on land have created more than 500 nitrogen flooded deadzones around the world in our oceans. For you to understand how inefficient animal agriculture is 1.5 acres can produce 37,000 pounds of plant-based food, 1.5 acres can produce 375 pounds of beef....
70 billion farmed animals are reared annually worldwide. No wonder we need to kill the rainforest grow crops fertilize and destroy our soil and oceans. More than 6 million animals are killed for food every hour.
A person who follows a vegan diet produces the equivalent of 50% less carbon dioxide, uses 1/11th oil, 1/13th water, and 1/18th land compared to a meat-lover for their food.

Cauliflower wings are pretty easy to find now. As a vegan foodie, I feel obligated to try them all. 😋These bbq wings with cashew blue cheese from @watercoursefoods were by far some of the better ones out there. 🙌🏽 I want to know where you’ve had the best cauliflower wings! Let me know 🤗
I had to eat breakfast on the go this morning but I still enjoyed it.

Wild elephants are being captured and enslaved to work carrying and pulling heavy logs for humans.
They are exhausted and isolated, while being forced to "work" in the destruction of their own habitats.
Animals are not here for us, they are here with us. And we have no right to exploit and harm for any unnecessary purpose, whether for labor, food, clothing, experimentation, entertainment or any other such use.
If you’re upset about this abuse of elephants, then good. We are too.
But… if you’re upset about this, but still eating, wearing and exploiting animals yourself, then please think about that.
Humans have exactly zero biological need to consume any animal foods for our health (and, in fact, we can be healthier avoiding them).
Additionally, consumption of animal foods is causing severe environmental devastation and loss of biodiversity, as natural habitats are destroyed for the #1 cause of deforestation: animal agriculture.
If you respect animals, then in addition to standing up for elephants, please stand up for all animals by going vegan. It’s the very least we owe to all animals – be they elephant, fish, chicken, cow or pig. It simply means not harming them when we don’t have to.
Going vegan also happens to be the most positive impactful action you can take for the environment and to help preserve the natural habitats on which elephants and so many other species depend.

Sween Plantain Vegan Cake🤩Sweet plantain is so good that it deserves a cake😍It’s my first time making it, but it turned out so good that I share it over here. It’s not the most precise recipe in the world, but it should work.
2 chia eggs (2 tbsp chia + 5 tbsp water)
1/4 cup raw cane sugar
3 very ripe sweet plantains
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup almond flour
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of nutmeg
1/4 cup almonds
Pre heat oven at 365 ºF. (I used a gas oven). Make the chia eggs and let sit. Add oil, sugar, and the chia eggs to a bowl and stir. Add the mashed plantains (I used a blender for that). Then add all the dry ingredients in the order of the list and combine without over mixing. Pour batter into a pan with parchment paper. Bake for 45 minutes (check with clean knife).
